Short Stint @ South Beach Miami

I get a few funny looks of disbelief when I say nope I’ve never been to Miami. So this weekend I decided to see what the hype was about and check it out for 48 hours.

My quick opinion about South Beach, Miami:

1. Ocean water was pretty warm in October so taking a swim was nice.
2. I’m semi-retired from partying but if you are a party animal, love food and wanna drink a lot of adult beverages, you will love South Beach.
3. Traffic on Ocean Dr and Collins Avenue is crazy. Unless you have a lot of outer area exploring don’t bother with a rental. Uber is your friend.
4. If you are prudish or will be offended by everybody (all shapes, hues and sizes) and their granddaddy being nekkid or almost nekkid, South Beach ain’t for you.
5. Miami Beach did not disappoint as the sunrise views were beautiful. My beach loving heart is happy.
6. I was on the fence about Miami being over or under rated. I have to agree with a few friends it is over rated. 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️

Final thought: It’s a nice spot for a beach break within the USA. However, if you have a valid passport you can do a lot more on the beach with same funds and time.
